Sergi Roberto, who has been linked with Manchester City, reportedly has no interest in leaving Barcelona this summer.

Barcelona midfielder Sergi Roberto reportedly has no interest in leaving the club this summer.

The 29-year-old, who has been left out of the Spain squad for Euro 2020, made just 20 appearances for Ronald Koeman's side during the 2020-21 campaign, having struggled to overcome a number of injury problems.

Roberto's existing deal at Camp Nou is due to expire next June, and a recent report claimed that Manchester City were keen to bring him to the Etihad Stadium during this summer's transfer window.

However, according to Marca, the Spaniard is not prepared to entertain the idea of moving clubs.

The report claims that Barca are planning to hold contract talks with Roberto when he returns from his end-of-season holiday, but he will have to accept a wage cut to remain with the Catalan giants.

The midfielder, who is also capable of operating as a right-back, suffered with a series of muscular problems in 2020-21, while he also had coronavirus towards the end of 2020.
