Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann believes that Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are the two strongest teams in the Champions League.

Former Liverpool midfielder Dietmar Hamann has written off Barcelona's chances of securing the Champions League this season.

The German, who won the European Cup with Liverpool in 2005, also believes that Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are the two strongest sides left in the competition.

"Massive test for United against the strongest team, with Munich, left in the competition. Never easy to win CL, but this year harder than ever," he tweeted.

"Barca doesn't seem to be the same team, I'll have Madrid and Bayern Munich ahead of them even if they do go through, which I doubt."

It is understood that as many as 200m people will tune in for Manchester United's Champions League clash with Madrid on Tuesday.
