Ex-England striker Michael Owen has declared that Sir Alex Ferguson is the most focused manager he has worked with during his career to date.
Owen, who played under Ferguson at Manchester United for three years, believes that the Scot is capable of guiding the Red Devils past Real Madrid in the Champions League.
The 33-year-old also thinks that Ferguson will be capable of building a gameplan that neutralises the threat of Madrid talisman Cristiano Ronaldo when the two sides meet at the Bernabeu on Wednesday.
He told Sky Sports News: "I have never been managed by anyone that has got so much confidence and belief in his own team as Sir Alex Ferguson.
"As much as he respects the opposition, he has so much confidence in his own team in how they attack and can score.
"I've never heard any team-talks from him saying we will man-to-man mark someone. Yes he [Ronaldo] is a potential danger, but they will be working more as a team in how they will stop him, doubling up in certain situations. I would doubt they would man-to-man mark him."
Owen was an unused substitute in the Champions League final two years ago when United were edged by Barcelona at Wembley.
