Wayne Rooney is "itching" to make his England comeback at Euro 2012, according to Manchester United teammate Danny Welbeck.
The former Everton striker will serve the second of a two-match ban against Sweden on Friday, paving the way for a return in the final group game against the Ukraine.
"We all know the passion Wayne has for football," Welbeck told reporters today.
"He's itching to get out on the pitch. It will be better for us once his suspension is done and he can come in and play for us against Ukraine."
England got their Euro campaign under way with a 1-1 draw against France on Monday (June 11).
Roy Hodgson's side take on Sweden on Friday.
