Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says that he cannot be blamed for rotating his squad against Crystal Palace, three days ahead of the Europa League final.

Jose Mourinho has revealed that he again intends to heavily rotate his squad for Manchester United's final league game of the season against Crystal Palace.

The Red Devils made it through to the Europa League final on Thursday by overcoming Celta Vigo 2-1 on aggregate, extending their season by another few days.

United welcome Palace to Old Trafford on May 21, around 77 hours before the Stockholm final, while opponents Ajax have nine days to prepare as their domestic campaign ends this weekend.

Speaking after the narrow semi-final win over Vigo, Mourinho told reporters: "Now Ajax thinks about the final. Their league finishes on Sunday - they have 12 days to prepare, and we have three league matches to play.

"Hopefully Crystal Palace don't have a lot to play for in the last game because I will make a lot of changes, and hopefully nobody will complain because we have a final three days later."

Ajax made it through to their first European final in 21 years by holding on to beat Lyon 5-4 on aggregate.
