Arsenal's Arsene Wenger 'excited' to draw Manchester United in FA Cup quarters

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger says that he is 'excited' to face Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is looking forward to facing Manchester United in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup as they continue the defence of their trophy.

The North London outfit were drawn against Louis van Gaal's side on Monday night following United's 3-1 win over Preston North End.

Arsenal booked their place in the next round with a 2-0 triumph over Championship side Middlesbrough last weekend.

"It's an interesting and exciting draw," Wenger told the club's official website. "We are the holders of this cup and we want to do absolutely everything to keep it. At some stage you have [to play the bigger teams].

"Last year we played Liverpool, Everton, Tottenham and that's what you do to get through. It's a good opportunity for us that we want to take."

United will host Arsenal at Old Trafford on Monday, March 9.
