Edinson Cavani is seemingly set for another spell on the sidelines, having suffered a calf problem while representing Uruguay against Chile on Tuesday.
The 35-year-old has been restricted to just 12 Premier League appearances for Manchester United this season, with various injury issues keeping him on the sidelines for long periods.
Cavani has come off the bench in Man United's last two matches against Tottenham Hotspur and Atletico Madrid, but he has now emerged as a major doubt for Saturday's clash with Leicester City.
The centre-forward was forced to leave the field in just the 29th minute of Uruguay's World Cup qualifier with Chile on Tuesday evening due to a calf issue.
Cavani will be assessed by his club later this week but is unlikely to be involved against Leicester due to the quick turnaround.
The South American, who has only scored twice for the 20-time English champions during the 2021-22 campaign, will leave his current club on a free transfer at the end of June.
