Kevin Strootman has stepped up his recovery from a cruciate knee ligament injury by taking part in a training session with his Roma teammates this afternoon.
The Netherlands international has been sidelined with the complaint, which ruled him out of this summer's World Cup, since March.
However, the 24-year-old provided a big indication that he is nearing a return to action with his presence at the club's Trigoria training base earlier today.

Strootman has recently been linked with a switch to Manchester United, although the club's owner James Pallotta has since dismissed that speculation.
