Sir Alex Ferguson reveals that he turned down the chance to manage Great Britain at next year's Olympic Games.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed that he turned down an offer to manage the Great Britain Olympic football team at next year's London Games.

The Scot was believed to be Olympic chief Lord Coe's first choice to take charge of the team.

"I told Seb that if I wasn't managing at the time I might consider it. But I am managing. I'm busy here at Manchester United."

England under-21 manager Stuart Pearce was named as the Men's Team GB manager earlier this week.
