Real Madrid attacker Gareth Bale is expecting Cristiano Ronaldo to enjoy success on his return to Manchester United.
Bale played alongside Ronaldo at Los Blancos between 2013 and 2018, winning four Champions League titles, before the Portuguese moved to Juventus.
Ronaldo has now re-signed with the 20-time English champions, and the 36-year-old is in line to make his second debut for the club against Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday.
When questioned on the experienced forward, Bale said that he is "excited" to see how his former teammate performs in the Premier League, and the Welshman is sure that 'he will do well'.
"I'm sure he'll do well. He's proven it before in the Premier League so he understands the league. He's done everything there is in football. His goalscoring ability is matched by no-one else. [I am] excited to see it like everyone else," Bale told Sky Sports News.
Ronaldo previously represented Man United between 2003 and 2009, making 292 appearances, winning three Premier League titles, one FA Cup, two League Cups and one Champions League during his time at the club.
