Former Manchester United player Dion Dublin believes that Paul Scholes would be an important addition to England's Euro 2012 squad.
The Red Devils veteran, who dropped out of the Three Lions set-up in 2004, has been tipped by the likes of Harry Redknapp to return to the fold.
Despite United boss Sir Alex Ferguson claiming that Scholes will not revive his England career, Dublin believes that the 37-year-old should consider it.
"I can see that," said Dublin. "I imagine if you took a poll of players, there wouldn't be many who didn't want Paul Scholes in their side. He defies age.
"He hasn't lost any passion for the game. He has an aura about him that makes you think he can do anything. He is a very special player."
Scholes made a surprise return to the Premier League champions this season following his retirement in May last year.
