Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand has revealed that his brother and Manchester United centre-back Rio has urged the London-based club to get a result against Manchester City on Sunday.
The blue half of Manchester can clinch the Premier League title with a victory over QPR at the Etihad Stadium, while the Red Devils must win to give themselves any chance of retaining the trophy when they take on Sunderland this weekend.
"Rio's been on the phone asking for a favour," said Ferdinand. "But it's about us. I'm concentrating on QPR as we have a massive job to do for ourselves.
"We've got to go there and get a point, if not three. I have faith in my teammates that we could possibly do that.
"If we do get a result and United and Rio go on to win the title, then I will be chuffed for him. If they don't win it but we stay up I will be very, very happy."
Mark Hughes's side are currently two points clear of relegation.
