Alex Ferguson points to "massive" Tottenham game

Sir Alex Ferguson believes that this Sunday's match with Tottenham is a "massive" game in Manchester United's title run-in.

Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson believes that this Sunday's match with Tottenham Hotspur is crucial in their push for Premier League glory.

While opponents Spurs are now ten points off the pace following their crushing 5-2 defeat to rivals Arsenal on Sunday, Ferguson feels that the trip to White Hart Lane represents one of United's biggest tests in their title run-in.

"It's going to be a massive game," Ferguson told Inside United.

"If we can survive that one, then we'll have a big chance of winning the league."

The Scot also admitted that he would be happy to go into a potential title decider with Manchester City on April 30 two points behind the league leaders.

"I would take [being two points behind City going. I would rather go there on level points.

"But if we could go there within striking distance of being top of the league, I'd take it."

United won the reverse fixture at Old Trafford 3-0 back in August.
