Manchester United interim manager Ryan Giggs has claimed that more should be done to protect players like Adnan Januzaj after he was injured on Tuesday night.
Hull City's David Meyler appeared to stamp on Januzaj's leg during United's 3-1 victory at Old Trafford, and Giggs was quick to reveal his disappointment after the final whistle.
"It's not great to see; it is terrible, his leg," the Welshman told reporters. "He needs protecting - he's a brilliant player, he's exciting - the authorities need to stamp down on it.
"I'm not sure what can happen now but it was bad; I didn't see the stamping but I've seen his leg and it's a joke.
"It's not broken the skin but it just goes from knee to his ankle."
Meyler could face retrospective action from the Football Association as the incident was not seen by the match officials.
