Ander Herrera has revealed that he 'really loves' Manchester United and wants to stay with the 20-time English champions "for as long as possible".
The 27-year-old has developed into a key player for Jose Mourinho in recent weeks and was again in impressive form during Man United's 1-0 win over Manchester City in the League Cup on Wednesday night.
The Spaniard has claimed that he 'relishes' matches against rival teams and has hailed the club's supporters for 'always being with the team' through the good times and the bad.
"I like these games. When you are a Manchester United player and you know the history of this club, you have to respect the games that are for the fans," Herrera told the club's official website.
"I feel it like them. I am not English and I am not from Manchester, but I really love this club and I have enjoyed my time here. I don't want to be just one more player. I want to show that I am very happy here and I want to be here for as long as possible.
"I have had bad moments here. Last season we lost two or three games in a row before having Chelsea at home and the atmosphere was one of the best. Man United fans are always with the team and not every team can say that."
Herrera joined Man United from Athletic Bilbao in the summer of 2014.
