Will Keane 'to be involved with Manchester United first team'

Manchester United youth coach Tommy Martin expects Will Keane to be involved with the first team having been recalled early from his loan spell with Preston.

Manchester United youth coach Tommy Martin has revealed that he expects Will Keane to be involved with the club's first team following his return from Preston North End.

The 22-year-old was recalled from his spell at Deepdale last week as United cut his season-long loan short.

Keane made his United return for the Under-21 side during a 3-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur Under-21s on Monday night, but with Louis van Gaal currently struggling for strikers, Martin expects Keane to have a role with the senior side.

"I think that's the idea of him coming back from Preston, that hopefully he'll be involved with the first team more than the Under-21s," Martin is quoted as saying by PA.

Keane scored two goals in 22 matches during his spell in the Championship with Preston.
