Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard is hoping that his performance against Benfica will lead to more opportunities.
The 27-year-old made a string of fine saves during the 1-1 draw at the Stadium of Light and was in a jovial mood when asked about his hopes for first-team football.
"What do you expect me to answer? I'm not here to pick my nose," he said.
"It's a great stadium to play at, very loud. I also could hear our own fans, which was nice.
"There are always some nerves but not more than usual. It makes me feel alive. I'm satisfied with my own performance but I'm a bit sad I didn't save the goal."
United play Chelsea this Sunday, but David de Gea rather than Lindegaard is expected to start the match.
