Manchester United 'looking for new shirt sponsor'

Manchester United are reportedly on the hunt for a new shirt sponsor, as their current deal with Chevrolet is set to expire in 2021.

Manchester United are reportedly on the hunt for a new shirt sponsor to replace Chevrolet at the end of the 2020-21 season.

The Red Devils have partnered with the US car manufacturer since 2014, but it is alleged that Chevrolet are not willing to extend their current deal with the 20-time English champions, which is set to expire at the end of next season.

According to the Daily Mail, United are already sending out prototype kits to potential suitors, which is said to be common practice for Premier League clubs looking to attract sponsors.

The report also claims that United's relative lack of success since 2014 has been a significant contributor in the decision for Chevrolet to not renew their deal, with Ed Woodward and Richard Arnold said to be spearheading the search for a new partner.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side currently sit fifth in the Premier League table, three points behind fourth-placed Chelsea following United's 2-0 derby day victory over Manchester City at Old Trafford on Sunday.
