Speculation has arisen this afternoon that Manchester United and Paul Pogba have reached an agreement over a new contract for the French midfielder.
The 18-year-old had reportedly decided to join Serie A club Juventus on a free transfer at the end of the season.
It is believed that manager Sir Alex Ferguson reacted to the news by omitting Pogba from the squad that lost 3-2 to Atletico Bilbao on Thursday evening.
However, Pogba has been handed a role as a substitute for this afternoon's home fixture against West Bromwich Albion, leading to reports that the two parties have reached a deal on fresh terms.
Pogba joined the Red Devils from Le Harve in 2009.
