Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini's new five-year contract is reportedly worth £7.5m a year.

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has reportedly become the Premier League's highest-paid manager after signing a five-year contract with the champions.

Mancini will earn £7.5m a year, according to The Mirror, overtaking Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsenal's Arsene Wenger in the process.

The Russian national side had been linked with a move for the Italian, but it is understood that an agreement between Mancini and club officials was quickly reached.

City are currently in Austria on a pre-season tour.
