Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini believes that controversial striker Mario Balotelli is an "important" asset to the side as the frontman is expected to return to action against Manchester United on Monday.
The former Inter Milan star has been forced to sit on the sidelines after picking up a three-match ban from a red card branded in City's 1-0 defeat to Arsenal under three weeks ago.
"Despite some stupid things he has done, Mario has done some important things, like his double strike at Old Trafford this season," Mancini told France Football.
"With him anything is possible. It's difficult to say today if I will recall Balotelli but everyone is available and I will make my choice on Sunday."
The blue half of Manchester are currently three points behind the Red Devils with as many games left to play in the race for the Premier League title.
