Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho hit with third FA charge

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is charged by the Football Association for a third time this season after being sent to the stands against West Ham United.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has been charged by the Football Association for the third time this season after being sent to the stands in Sunday's Premier League clash against West Ham United.

The Portuguese coach was given his marching orders by referee Jonathan Moss after he kicked a water bottle in frustration when Paul Pogba was booked for diving in the 27th minute of United's 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

As a result, the ex-Chelsea boss has been charged with improper conduct, and could face a lengthy touchline ban due to his previous conduct.

Mourinho has been sent to the stands three times in just over a year, the first of which was while he was Chelsea manager, and the other was almost four weeks ago during United's goalless draw with Burnley.

The 53-year-old has until 6pm on December 1 to respond to the charge.
