Manchester United manager David Moyes has insisted that the hunger and determination to achieve success is still present in the squad.
United, who are currently 11 points off a Champions League place, have failed to win any of their previous three games.
Despite this, Moyes says that the players are still committed to the cause.
"All I can do - and I keep saying it - is try and win the next game and pick it up," the former Everton manager is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "We can only do our job the best we can. We want to play better. We cannot bother about other teams. We can only put pressure on by winning our games.
"I believe the desire is still there in the squad. I see them and they are great lads. They are fantastic with their training and their commitment is first class. They all have medals and when you have won you want to win more. They are all still hungry and determined to be successful."
United are back in league action on February 22 when they face Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
