Gary Neville: 'Liverpool will not win Premier League'

Gary Neville backs Liverpool to finish in the Premier League top four but believes that they won't win the title.

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville believes that Liverpool can finish in the top four of the Premier League this season but will not win the title.

The Reds are currently second in the league table with 24 points from 12 matches, four points behind leaders Arsenal.

"Liverpool are certainly top-four contenders, but I don't think they'll win the title - I don't think they'll be able to progress that much this season but I think they've got a fantastic chance of getting towards that top four," he told Sky Sports News.

"If you think about where they were last year and the fact that they struggled to compete for a Champions League space that would be progression for Liverpool this season."

Liverpool will take on Hull City on Sunday.
