Queens Park Rangers have launched an appeal to overturn Shaun Derry's red card, which was received during the West London side's defeat to Manchester United on Sunday.
The 34-year-old midfielder was sent off in the early stages of the Premier League clash at Old Trafford for appearing to bring down Ashley Young in the box, which resulted in a successful Wayne Rooney penalty.
The Red Devils went on to win the game 2-0, pushing them eight points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table.
Despite the referee's decision to send off Derry, QPR have appealed the ruling based on unfair dismissal and the Football Association are expected to hear their case this afternoon.
If the former Championship club are successful, Derry could feature in QPR's match against Swansea City tomorrow.
