Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl brushes off talk linking him with a future role at Manchester United.

Southampton boss Ralph Hasenhuttl has suggested that he has no interest in discussing a future switch to Manchester United.

After his Saints side held United at Old Trafford on Saturday, it was claimed that the Austrian may be in the running to replace interim manager Ralf Rangnick due to their previous relationship in German football.

However, having handled questions regarding his future last week, Hasenhuttl has said that he wants to focus on matters involving Southampton, who are currently preparing to face Everton at the weekend.

Speaking to reporters at a press conference, Hasenhuttl said: "This is not in my mind and also not the things that are interesting me. I don't want to speak about my future every week.

"Last week we spoke about different things, and this week we should be speaking about the game we have now against Everton. This is more interesting for me, my whole focus and whole energy is on this game. Anything else I will leave to other people."

Hasenhuttl has indicated that he currently considering whether to retire from coaching at the end of 2023-24.
