Man Utd striker Marcus Rashford insists that his side are "ready to go" against Arsenal and fondly recalls scoring twice against the Gunners on his league debut.

Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has insisted that his side are "ready to go" ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash with Arsenal at Old Trafford.

Rashford made his league debut against the Gunners in February, memorably scoring two goals in a 3-2 victory just days after bursting onto the scene with another brace against FC Midtjylland on his first ever appearance at senior level.

The 19-year-old fondly recalls that match against Arsene Wenger's side, and is looking forward to coming up against them again this weekend.

"When you've played well against a team, you think about that the next time you come to face them. I think everyone is just looking forward to the game. It's not only me, everyone is ready to go," Rashford told MUTV.

"For the fans and the public, the Midtjylland game was the game where they first saw my potential. But for me, and the people closest to me, the Arsenal game was 'the one' because everyone understands how hard the Premier League is to play in. It was amazing.

"It's one of the main things we spoke about after those two games. My friends and family spoke about what we needed to do to keep progressing and moving forward."

Rashford was left out of the United starting lineup for their last match, but is expected to play some part against Arsenal.
