Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp believes that David Moyes will find life difficult next season as he replaces Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United.

Queens Park Rangers boss Harry Redknapp feels that new Manchester United manager David Moyes will face a tough task replacing Sir Alex Ferguson next season.

Following the 71-year-old's announcement of his retirement at the end of this campaign, the Everton boss was named his successor on Thursday.

Redknapp believes that it's hard to imagine that Moyes will be granted the same time to build success as Ferguson was.

He wrote in his column in The Sun: "Next season will be harder than ever for incoming boss Moyes. In fact it will be much tougher taking over now than it was for Alex Ferguson when he walked into Old Trafford back in 1986.

"Back then Manchester United were struggling in the league, so the only way was up really. There was not the same expectation placed on the team and the management. Next season will be totally different."

Ferguson will manage his last United home game against Swansea City later today.
