Paul Scholes: 'Ryan Giggs could leave Manchester United'

Paul Scholes believes that former Manchester United teammate Ryan Giggs could move elsewhere to begin his managerial career.

Paul Scholes has hinted that former Manchester United teammate Ryan Giggs could leave the club to become a manager elsewhere.

The Welshman took temporary charge at the end of last season following the sacking of David Moyes, before bringing his 23-year playing career with United to an end during the summer.

Giggs is currently assistant manager to Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal, but Scholes believes that the 41-year-old will not wait around to manage the Old Trafford outfit.

"There's no doubt, he had that little taste of it for the last three weeks of last year and he definitely wants to be a manager," Scholes told BT Sport.

"You can see that. Over the next two or three years, will he have the patience to be a number two for that long? I'm not sure he will."

Giggs recently dismissed reports of a rift with Van Gaal.
