Manchester United's Ashley Young eyeing trophy success next season

Manchester United winger Ashley Young is confident that his side can get back to winning trophies if they can maintain their form from the end of last season.

Ashley Young believes that Manchester United can use their form from the end of the season as a springboard to challenge for the Premier League title in the next campaign.

The Red Devils had a poor start to the season under Louis van Gaal as they managed to take just 13 points from their opening 10 fixtures.

However, United came into form in the second half of the season to finish in the top four and earn a place in the Champions League, leaving Young optimistic over his side's future.

He told the club's official website: "We wanted to get ourselves back winning titles and trophies, but it wasn't meant to be this season.

"If we can improve on the form we've shown this season and take that into next season, then definitely the titles and cups will be coming back."

Young has also credited Van Gaal for reigniting his career at Old Trafford.
