Premier League in numbers: Week 22

Sports Mole looks back over the 22nd weekend of Premier League action with a selection of facts and figures.

Sunderland 2-2 Southampton

The home side have scored six goals in their last two matches, all of which have involved Adam Johnson, who has fired in four and and assisted two.

Southampton's Jay Rodriguez has also been in positive recent form, having scored six goals in his previous seven away matches.

The Saints have collected maximum points from just one of their last eight encounters on the road.

Arsenal 2-0 Fulham

Santi Cazorla's last six goals for Arsenal have been scored at the Emirates Stadium.

Meanwhile, up the other end the North Londoners have kept clean sheets in eight of their last nine home matches.

As for Fulham, their wait for a victory away at Arsenal has been extended to 28 meetings.

Crystal Palace 1-0 Stoke City

The Eagles have now kept four kept four clean sheets since Tony Pulis took charge of the club.

His former team Stoke, on the other hand, continued their negative form on the road, having not won any of their last nine matches.

No team has picked up less points away from home than the Potters, who have amassed just five.

Manchester City 4-2 Cardiff City

The home team's first goal was their 100th of the campaign after just 34 matches in all competitions.

One of their goalscorers, Sergio Aguero, took his season's tally to 13 goals in just 12 outings.

Prior to Cardiff, only Arsenal had scored more than one goal against the Citizens at the Etihad Stadium this term.

Norwich City 1-0 Hull City

Norwich's goal was only the third that they had scored in six matches.

There was no chance of Hull scoring in this clash, though, because they failed to register one shot on target.

None of Hull's six clean sheets this term have come away from home.

West Ham United 1-3 Newcastle United

French midfielder Yohan Cabaye scored two goals, taking his tally to four in as many outings away from home.

His first of the afternoon ended Newcastle's drought of 296 minutes without a goal.

As for West Ham, they have won just one of their last nine Premier League matches.

Liverpool 2-2 Aston Villa

Christian Benteke appears to like playing against Liverpool and has now scored four times in his quartet of matches against the Merseysiders.

On the flip side, Steven Gerrard has found the net 12 times against Villa - more than he has managed against any other club.

The Reds have only beaten Villa once in their last five attempts at Anfield.

Swansea City 1-3 Tottenham Hotspur

Tim Sherwood's Spurs have won five consecutive away matches for the first time since 1960.

The North Londoners have also emerged victorious from five of their last six meetings with Swansea.

Talking of the Swans, they have won just two of their last 16 encounters at the Liberty Stadium.

Chelsea 3-1 Manchester United

Man United's Javier Hernandez has scored 10 away goals as a substitute - more than any other player in Premier League history.

Meanwhile, David Moyes has yet to win away from home to one of the division's big four – Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool or Arsenal, which dates back 48 matches.

Samuel Eto'o became only the fourth player to score a hat-trick against United in the Premier League era.

West Bromwich 1-1 Everton

West Brom's Diego Lugano became the 10th Uruguayan to score in the Premier League - a list which includes the likes of Luis Suarez and Diego Forlan.

Defensively the Baggies have kept just one clean sheet in their last 12 matches.

Everton, meanwhile, have lost none of their last seven encounters away from Goodison Park.
