Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick feels that the players will not have a hard time adjusting to life without manager Sir Alex Ferguson.

David Moyes will take over at the helm at Old Trafford next season, following Ferguson's retirement, and Carrick thinks that the transition will be too difficult to adapt to.

"I don't think the changes will be too difficult for us," Carrick told reporters.

"As a squad we're experienced. I'm sure the same teams will be at the top. We've thanked Sir Alex for everything he's done and he's thanked us. We're ready to move on.

"Ferguson can retire satisfied. It has started sinking in now and there is a new challenge ahead for us now."

Ferguson was manager of United for 26 years.
