Dimitar Berbatov could make a move to Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala, according to his agent.
The Bulgarian, who has had limited first-team opportunities at Old Trafford this season, would be expected to move to the big-spending side for around £15m, according to The Mirror.
However, he is reported to be holding out for £5m per year more than the £7.5m annual wage that Anzhi are offering.
"We would be interested when Anzhi make a concrete offer," said Emil Danchev. "We will sit down with Dimitar and ponder this.
"I don't know if Dimitar is happy in Manchester. He plays, then he just sits on the bench."
Berbatov joined United from Tottenham Hotspur in 2008 for £30m.
