Felipe Anderson: "Nothing concrete" in Manchester United rumours

There is no deal in place to take Felipe Anderson from Lazio to Manchester United in the summer, according to the player himself.

Lazio playmaker Felipe Anderson has played down speculation that a move to Manchester United is in the offing.

The Brazilian has been linked with a switch to Old Trafford on a number of occasions over the last few months.

Recent quotes attributed to Lazio president Claudio Lotito stated that a £47m fee had been agreed between the two clubs regarding a summer transfer, although the Serie A club have since denied that notion.

When asked for his take on the situation, Anderson insisted that his sole focus is on performing well for Lazio in order to capture the attention of national team head coach Dunga.

"There's nothing concrete. The newspapers talk about my possible move to England, but I am a Lazio player and I want to do well here," the 22-year-old told Fox Sports Brazil.

"I know if I play well here I can get the call from the national team, that is my ultimate goal."

Anderson has scored six goals and assisted a further three from his 27 outings in the Italian top flight this term.
