Angel di Maria "very happy" to join Paris Saint-Germain

Angel di Maria says that he is "very happy" to leave Manchester United for Paris Saint-Germain as his move nears completion.

Angel di Maria has said that he is delighted to join Paris Saint-Germain, even though his move from Manchester United is yet to be confirmed.

The Argentine winger is expected to join the French champions for a fee in the region of £44m, which would bring an end to an unhappy 12 months in Manchester.

Di Maria reportedly struggled to settle in the North-West following his move from Real Madrid, and was burgled earlier this year. However, it now seems that his move to France is close to being announced.

He told beIN Sports: "I am very happy to join PSG. What I know about PSG is that it is a team that won all the possible trophies in France last season. This is very important for the club. I also know that I want to overcome the obstacle that is the quarter finals of the Champions League.

"I am going to try to bring the best of my abilities to put myself at the service of this team. We are going to try and go as far as possible in the Champions League."

Di Maria scored four times in 32 appearances for the Red Devils.
