Everton are planning to offer Leighton Baines a new contract to remain at Goodison Park, reports suggest.
The England international was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United last summer, while it was reported at the start of the January transfer window that the Toffees had placed a £25m price tag on his head.
However, The Express claims Roberto Martinez believes that Baines will sign an extension. His current contract runs out in 18 months, but the newspaper adds that talks have been held since last summer.
Any new deal would apparently see the left-back get a pay rise, despite already being one of the best-paid players at the club.
Baines has been with Everton since 2007.
