Chelsea reportedly 'all but agree' personal terms with Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Kai Havertz ahead of a potential move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are reportedly close to finalising personal terms with Bayer Leverkusen playmaker Kai Havertz.

Despite having already agreed deals for Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, Blues boss Frank Lampard remains determined to also win the race for highly-regarded Havertz.

Although the two teams are yet to reach an agreement over a fee, The Athletic suggests that there are no such issues regarding personal terms.

The report says that the 21-year-old is in favour of a transfer to Stamford Bridge, aware that the Premier League giants are the only club willing to meet Leverkusen's demands.

While Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid have been linked with the Germany international in the past, none of that trio have any intention of bidding in excess of £70m.

Havertz contributed 12 goals and six assists from 30 appearances in the Bundesliga last season.
