Chelsea to up bid for Manchester United's Wayne Rooney to £28m?

Chelsea will reportedly lodge a third bid worth £28m for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney within the next 48 hours.

Chelsea are reportedly planning to put forward an improved offer to Manchester United for unsettled striker Wayne Rooney.

The West London outfit have had two bids rejected by the Premier League champions already, but Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has suggested that the club will not give up on their pursuit of the England international.

Within the next 48 hours, the Blues will offer £28m to the Red Devils following their recent rejected bid of £25m, according to The Express.

If the Blues are rebuffed yet again, reports have claimed that Mourinho will turn his attention to Anzhi Makhachkala striker Samuel Eto'o.
