Italian clubs join race to sign Samuel Eto'o?

Inter Milan and Napoli join the race to sign Cameroonian forward Samuel Eto'o, according to a report.

Inter Milan and Napoli have reportedly joined the race to sign Anzhi Makhachkala striker Samuel Eto'o.

The 32-year-old is believed to be a possible target for Chelsea and Manchester United, with both sides looking to add an attacker before the transfer deadline.

However, the English clubs could now be challenged for the Cameroonian's signature by his former team Inter, who are reported to have already made their interest known to the Russian club.

Napoli coach Rafael Benitez is targeting Eto'o to provide support for recent signing Gonzalo Higuain, according to the Daily Star.

Eto'o is believed to be earning an estimated £320,000 a week but reports have suggested that he would be willing to take a big pay cut.
