Johan Cruyff: 'Thiago Alcantara should leave Barcelona'

Dutch legend Johan Cruyff believes that Thiago Alcantara should leave Barcelona if he is not offered first-team football at Camp Nou.

Former Barcelona player and manager Johan Cruyff has called on Thiago Alcantara to leave the club if he is not offered first-team football.

The Spain Under-21 captain has been linked with a reported £15m switch to Manchester United, who will begin the 2013-14 campaign with new manager David Moyes.

"If he really has little chance to play, then he has to go," the Manchester Evening News quotes Cruyff as saying. "It all depends on Barcelona's plans. If there is little chance that he will get regular playing time, he should leave."

Meanwhile, reports have claimed that Barca have had a bid rejected by Everton for full-back Leighton Baines.
