A report claims that David de Gea is ready to sign a new long-term deal with Manchester United as he has no desire of playing for Real Madrid.

David de Gea reportedly sees his long-term future at Manchester United and is ready to commit to the club by signing a new deal.

The Spain international has been locked in talks with the Red Devils for a number of weeks regarding a new contract.

United triggered a 12-month extension in De Gea's contract in November, but as things stand the £100m-rated stopper will become a free agent in a less than a year-and-a-half's time.

Despite being offered £300,000 a week to stay on at Old Trafford, it is rumoured that the ex-Real Madrid keeper is holding out for more.

However, the Daily Mail indicates that the 28-year-old does want to stay at United and he is expected to agree fresh terms before the end of the campaign.

Agent Jorge Mendes is said to be haggling over terms of £375,000 a week, which would make De Gea one of the top-earning players in European football.

The report also indicates that De Gea now has little desire to play for Real Madrid as he feels he has been unfairly maligned by the Spanish media, while Paris Saint-Germain are not currently seeking a new number one.
