Barcelona attacker Ousmane Dembele's agent Moussa Sissoko insists that his client's future "remains open".

Ousmane Dembele's agent Moussa Sissoko has insisted that his client's future "remains open" despite suggestions that he has rejected a final contract offer from Barcelona.

The France international's current deal at Camp Nou will expire at the end of June, meaning that, as it stands, he will be leaving the Catalan giants on a free transfer this summer.

Paris Saint-Germain have been strongly linked with the forward, but a recent report claimed that the French champions have now decided to end their interest due to fears over his injury record.

According to AS, Dembele has told Barcelona that he will not be signing a new deal, with the World Cup winner already putting his property in Spain on the market.

However, Sissoko, who represents the 25-year-old, has said that a decision on his client's future has not been made, and they will continue to be "very respectful of all of the clubs" involved.

"Ousmane Dembele's future remains open and we are not going to enter into endless speculation," Football Espana quotes the agent as saying.

"We are and have always been very respectful of all the clubs and we will continue in the same way as long as the process continues. When the time is right to make a decision, Ousmane will consider what is the best option for the future."

Dembele ended the 2021-22 campaign with two goals and 13 assists in 32 appearances for Barcelona in all competitions.

The Frenchman was told to leave Camp Nou in January after refusing to sign a new contract, but he ultimately remained at the club and managed to work his way back into Xavi's side.

Dembele scored once and provided 13 assists in 21 La Liga appearances last term but did not start either of their final two league games of the campaign against Getafe or Villarreal.

The former Rennes youngster has made 150 appearances for the Catalan giants in all competitions, contributing 32 goals and 34 assists in the process, but he has struggled with a number of injury problems since arriving from Borussia Dortmund in August 2017.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta recently said that the club had submitted a new offer to the attacker "a long time ago" but were yet to hear back.

"The offer was presented a long time ago and they have taken time to answer us," Laporta told Catalunya Radio. "We cannot force anything because this depends on two parties.

"I believe that he will stay, but he is tempted by other options that he could believe are superior."

Manchester United, Chelsea and Juventus are also among the clubs to be credited with an interest in the Frenchman, who is believed to be currently pricing himself out of a new deal with Barcelona.
