Borussia Dortmund chief Carsten Cramer hints that the Bundesliga side may be forced to lower their asking price for Jadon Sancho.

Borussia Dortmund chief Carsten Cramer has suggested that his side may be willing to accept a lower figure for Jadon Sancho in the current economic climate.

The 20-year-old has emerged as one of the most sought-after talents in Europe following his performances in Dortmund colours this season, with Manchester United thought to be at the head of the queue for Sancho's signature.

Dortmund had originally intended to stand firm on their £120m asking price for the forward, but Cramer has hinted that the German outfit may need to take a second look at the situation amid the coronavirus pandemic.

"Usually at this time of year the squad for next season is already done. Maybe you sell some players but the plans are done," Cramer said on an online forum.

"Everyone has to be as flexible as possible. I'm very sure the business on loan will become of higher relevance than periods before and for sure it will take a longer time to plan your squad.

"I'm very, very sure that not on July 1 or even August 1 your team is done. Flexibility is very important, patience will be important.

"I'm very sure the expectations of high fees will go down as well."

Sancho, who is under contract at Dortmund until 2022, has recorded 17 goals and 19 assists across all competitions for Lucien Favre's side this term.
