Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc says that Manchester United never came close to signing Jadon Sancho during the summer.

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has said that Manchester United did not get close to signing Jadon Sancho during the summer transfer window.

After a hugely impressive two years at the Westfalenstadion, Sancho has been linked with a return to the Premier League in the near future, most likely with United.

However, despite acknowledging the North-West outfit's interest in the England international, Zorc has reiterated that the 19-year-old is not for sale.

Zorc told Viasport: "Not close at all. We didn't talk to them. They were asking us for a meeting. Sancho is not for sale."

Sancho currently has just under three years remaining on his contract with the Bundesliga club.
