Everton are reportedly prepared to move for either Chris Smalling or Victor Lindelof if they are unable to secure a deal for their Manchester United teammate Marcos Rojo.

Everton have reportedly indicated that they hold an interest in Manchester United pair Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof.

Toffees boss Marco Silva is keen to add at least one new centre-back before the end of the transfer window, and a deal is said to be agreed with Barcelona for Yerry Mina.

Everton are also allegedly keen on United defender Marcos Rojo, but according to Team Talk, the Merseyside outfit have identified two alternatives to the Argentina international.

The report claims that Everton could explore the possibility of securing a loan deal for Sweden international Lindelof, while Smalling could also be approached regarding a switch across the North-West.

United are looking to bring in a new defender in the coming days, and that could result in at least one of Rojo, Smalling and Lindelof being allowed to leave Old Trafford.
