Everton remain in talks with Manchester United over a move for Marcos Rojo, according to a report.

Everton are reportedly still locked in talks with Manchester United over a move for Marcos Rojo.

The Toffees are said to have failed with an offer for Chris Smalling and have since switched their attention to the Englishman's United teammate.

According to Sky Sports News, the Merseyside giants are holding discussions with the Red Devils in the hope of completing a deal before this summer's transfer window closes for business.

Rojo has been involved in United's preparations for the 2019-20 campaign, but the Argentina international has only played 14 times in the Premier League since the end of the 2016-17 season.

The versatile defender, who can operate at both left-back and in the middle, has a little under two years left to run on his contract at Old Trafford.
