Juventus plan to finalise a deal for Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba before the end of April, according to a report.

Juventus are reportedly planning to finalise a deal for Paul Pogba before the end of April.

The France international's contract at Manchester United will expire at the end of June, and he is widely expected to leave the 20-time English champions on a free transfer.

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain both continue to be linked with the midfielder, but Juventus have seemingly emerged as the favourites to re-sign their former player at the end of the campaign.

According to Italian journalist Rudy Galetti, discussions between the two parties 'are progressing', and the Old Lady are hoping to come to a final agreement with the player before the end of April.

A recent report claimed that the Italian giants were reluctant to bring Pogba back to the club due to the cost of the deal, with Aaron Ramsey's failed move on a free transfer acting as a 'wake-up call'.

However, Galetti claims that Juventus have placed a four-year contract on the table with a salary of €9m (£7.6m) a year plus €3m (£2.5m) in bonuses.

Pogba previously represented the Italian giants between 2012 and 2016, winning four Serie A titles and two Coppa Italia crowns before returning to Man United in an £89m deal.
