Kalidou Koulibaly - strongly linked with Manchester United - reportedly informs Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis that he is open to leaving the club this summer.

Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly has reportedly informed his club's president Aurelio De Laurentiis that he is open to the idea of leaving Stadio San Paolo during this summer's transfer window.

The 28-year-old, who has a contract in Naples until the end of the 2022-23 campaign, continues to be linked with a host of Europe's biggest clubs.

Manchester United are thought to have a firm interest in the Senegal captain despite the fact that they spent big on Harry Maguire in last summer's transfer window.

According to Il Mattino, in a phone conversation with De Laurentiis, Koulibaly revealed that he would be ready to leave Napoli this summer if an appealing offer arrived.

However, the publication claims that the defender also made it clear that he was happy to remain with the Blues should they decide not to sanction an exit.

A recent report said that the Red Devils would have to come up with an offer of at least €100m (£86.5m) if they wanted to sign Koulibaly this summer.

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer allegedly regards the Senegalese as one of the best three centre-backs in world football.
