Manchester United are reportedly one of seven Premier League clubs who are keeping tabs on Gambian starlet Adama Bojang.

The 19-year-old striker, who plies his trade in his homeland with Steve Biko FC, has made a notable impression on the international stage with Gambia Under-20s.

Indeed, Bojang scored four goals en route to the Under-20s Africa Cup of Nations final against Senegal between February and March this year, with Gambia ultimately losing 2-0.

Bojang then played a starring role for the Young Scorpions at the Under-20s World Cup in Argentina last month, scoring twice and helping his nation progress to the last 16 where they lost to eventual winners Uruguay.

The 6ft 3in striker's performances on the international stage are understood to have caught the eye of several top clubs across Europe, including a number of teams in the Premier League.

According to The Guardian, Man United and Newcastle United are two of the latest Premier League teams to have joined Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the race to sign Bojang.

The report adds that Bojang's club Steve Biko FC have received an offer from an unnamed German club, with both RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt said to be interested in his services.

A separate report from the Evening Standard claims that Bojang is currently in favour of a move to the Bundesliga, and it remains unclear whether he would change his views should he receive an offer from an English club.

French outfit Lens, who finished second in Ligue 1 in 2022-23, have also been credited with an interest in the teenager, who is also being closely monitored by several clubs outside of Europe.

Nicknamed the 'Gambian Hurricane', Bojang admitted earlier this year that he is "excited" to learn of interest from top clubs around the globe.

Speaking to BBC Sport Africa in March, the striker said: "I've heard about the news and I am excited about it.

"It boosts my morale. I'm focusing more on consistency which motivates me a lot, because seeing such clubs following you is a great feeling. Through consistency it will make them hungrier for me."

Bajong is said to be available for just €3m (£2.6m) and obtaining a UK work permit may not be a problem due to the updated Governing Body Endorsement (GBE) criteria for international player visas which was approved by the Home Office last week.
