Manchester United beat Liverpool to the signature of Tromso IL teenager Isak Hansen-Aaroen, according to a report.

Manchester United have reportedly beaten bitter rivals Liverpool to the signature of Tromso IL attacker Isak Hansen-Aaroen.

In 2018, Tromso sporting director Svein-Morten Johansen revealed that "very positive discussions" had been held with United over a potential deal for the teenager, who was then 14.

Now 15 years old, it is believed that he has already had trials with United, Liverpool and Everton ahead of a potential move to the English game.

Liverpool have since been linked with the Norwegian, but according to iTromso, United have won the race for Hansen-Aaroen, who will make the move to Old Trafford when he turns 16 in August 2020.

The 20-time English champions are also being linked with a double swoop for Lille's Nicolas Pepe and Paris Saint-Germain's Adrien Rabiot ahead of this summer's transfer window.
